1 cup of fresh basil leaves
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 red pepper, diced (optional)
2 Tbsp. of Olive Your Heart® (natural)
1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
3 Tbsp. of pine nuts (optional: toasted)
1/4 tsp. of sea salt
Optional: lightly toast pine nuts or walnuts in dry pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned and slight fragrance detected.
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender, and puree to desired consistency.
Optional: Add red pepper for garnish before serving
