Fresh Basil & Garlic Pesto

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 red pepper, diced (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. of Olive Your Heart®, natural flavor
  • 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp. of pine nuts (optional: toasted)
  • 1/4 tsp. of sea salt

Directions

​Optional: lightly toast pine nuts or walnuts in dry pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned and slight fragrance detected.
​

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender, and puree to desired consistency.

​Optional: Add red pepper for garnish before serving
